The Challenge: Engineering for Flood Resilience
The site’s proximity to water required a solution that would protect the structure from rising water levels without compromising on design or comfort. By elevating the entire property on stilts, we created a flood-resilient footprint that allows water to pass beneath the structure, significantly reducing the risk of property damage during high-water events.

The Build: Sustainable Timber & Modern Finishes
This was a "ground-up" construction where we managed every phase of the timber frame assembly:

Elevated Timber Frame: The core structure was engineered for strength and thermal efficiency, providing a lightweight yet robust alternative to traditional brick and mortar.

Western Red Cedar Cladding: To give the home a striking, contemporary finish, we used premium cedar cladding. Cedar is naturally resistant to decay and moisture, making it the perfect choice for an elevated property.

uPVC Windows & Doors: We installed high-specification uPVC windows and doors to ensure the home is 100% airtight and thermally efficient. These offer a low-maintenance, durable solution that stands up to the elements.

Specialised Foundations: The steel and timber stilt system was precision-aligned to ensure a perfectly level and secure base for the lifetime of the building.
